Will upgrading my consumer unit cause a lot of mess or disruption?

Adam was really helpful. Advised on what I needed to complete the job as I'd ordered the wrong sort of hob. Put the hood up with minimum fuss and mess. Left it relatively tidy and was pleasent to have around.
